Polo and Beverley Polo Club

If you play or wishing to learn polo as part of your holiday activities while staying at Tickton Hall, then where better than to learn at The Beverley Polo Club. A members club with a full fixtures list and practice chukkas every week and weekend. With horses available to hire and Argentine polo instructors ready to teach a beginner or improve a players technique, the Beverley polo Club is a friendly fun addition to any holiday itinerary. If you are a non rider, then the Polo can be an exhilarating spectators sport, and works in complete harmony with a picnic and a bottle of Champagne!

The owner of Tickton Hall founded The Beverley Polo Club due to an insatiable passion for horses and polo.

The club was established in 2002 and boasts three outdoor polo grounds with indoor arena which is unmatchable to any other clubs facilities in the North of England.

The polo Summer Season opens Mid March and runs through until end of September. Winter Polo in the arena runs from Jan to March. For those guests of Tickton Hall wishing to add an Experience to their holiday can take advantage of the Polo activities of the Club. Whether you are looking to learn, play, or simply bring a picnic and watch the thrills of the game from the pitch or Arena side, there is certainly enough to satisfy any horse appetite. We would be more than happy to discuss with you a Polo program to match your stay at Tickton Hall which can be as little or as much as you wish.

The Club and the pitches are close enough to Tickton Hall the main house and Garden Lodge but are certainly not intrusive so should you not wish to participate in any Equestrian activities you still can enjoy the quiet retreat of Tickton Hall.

As a guest of Tickton Hall all Equestrian Experiences would be priced separately and are not included in any hire costs of Tickton Hall or the Garden Lodge.
